Bradley could use a hand at RB.
When US defender Michael Parkhurst got back on the field for the US national team last week against Colombia, it was a possible sign that the 26 year old former MLS defender of the year could be part of Bob Bradley's effort to rebuild the US national team's aging defense.

Bradley did recently give an indication that perhaps Parkhurst in the future could be in his plans to play right back as opposed to his usual central defense.

Ex-Dynamo man Rico Clark saw the field
Even though Germans don't celebrate Labor Day by habit, the international break did provide some respite from the just-underway league season for players in the top three leagues not representing their respective countries in international play.

Sadly, most players were unable to plan a weekend at the lake as a number of friendlies, benefit games and local cup rounds kept most Americans in Germany - including a pair just beginning their tenure with new teams - busy and focused on the game.

Will Gooch see any time this fall?
Taking somewhat of a back seat to what turned out to be a largely lackluster summer transfer window finale for Americans was the September 1 deadline for Premier League clubs to submit their final 25-man rosters for the first half of the season and for Champions and Europa League participants to name their final 25 for group-stage play.

Beyond the roster decisions which were obviously never going to be in doubt, the day gave final confirmation for a small handful of Americans on the fringe of their teams' plans as to what they can expect to see in the coming four months in terms of playing time.
