Olympic hopeful Taylor returns to Estoril
After a successful half-season on loan at Atlético CP, 2014 US Olympic hopeful Tony Taylor has been recalled by Estoril.

The US U-23 attacker scored three goals as Atlético's first choice right winger in eleven league games, helping the newly promoted club move into the upper tier of the Liga Orangina where they are a candidate for promotion to the Portuguese top flight.

Only 10 days after they finished playing for the US U-20 team, Juan Ocegueda and Uvaldo Luna have been called up by Mexico U20s.

Both players play for Tigres and the website Solo Tigres broke the news on Wednesday night.

After missing the last five months with Aston Villa due to a hip injury, Erich Lichaj is nearing a comeback with the club.

Yesterday Lichaj played the first half for Aston Villa reserves in a 7-1 win over Wolverhampton reserves at right back.

Buddle will get a look from the EPL club
Over the weekend agent Richard Motzkin confirmed via twitter that his client, Edson Buddle, would trial this week with Everton.

Buddle, 30, is still under contract with 2.Bundesliga club Ingolstadt but he was dismissed from the team in December presumably to find a new club.

Three young Americans have been doing well this winter
As Hertha Berlin prepares to begin the second half of their season, three Yanks are now playing with the club's during the winter break.

On Friday, Hertha defeated Swiss Super League club FC 4-2 and US U20 central defender John Anthony Brooks earned the start. In the midfield, Alfredo Morales was also in the starting lineup under new coach Michael Skibbe.

Altidore could face Ajax twice in three days
Jozy Altidore and the rest of the AZ Alkmaar appear to have caught a break after the latest development in the saga surrounding their Dutch Cup game against Ajax Amsterdam.

The match originally schedule on December 21 in Amsterdam was interrupted in the 36th minute, with Ajax leading 1-0 through an eighth-minute score by Gregory van der Wiel, when a drunk Ajax supporter ran onto the field and attempted to attack AZ's Costa Rican keeper Esteban Alvarado.

Danny Barrera has made his professional debut this Saturday, coming on as a 90th minute substitute in Spartak Zlatibor Voda's win over Borac Čačak.
