The US avenged their mishap in Kingston with a 1-0 win over Jamaica.

Athough the scoreline could have been a lot bigger if not for the right post, left post, crossbar, and the efforts of Jamaican ‘keeper Dwayne Miller, who made some acrobatic stops.

Carlos Bocanegra will return as USMNT captain on Tuesday
In today's press conference, US national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann revealed the status update on some regulars.

Steve Cherundolo missed the game against Jamaica on Friday because of a calf strain but Klinsmann today said that the long-time veteran right back would be able to play on Tuesday night in the rematch against Jamaica.

Dempsey's next goal will be for Spurs
The transfer saga of USMNT attacker Clint Dempsey is finally resolved with the American moving across town to Tottenham Hotspur, joining compatriot Brad Friedel.

Tottenham, who had their offer of £6m pounds accepted by Fulham, immediately inked Dempsey to a three-year deal.

Bradley has started strong at Roma
Michael Bradley will likely miss the USMNT's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica after picking up a right thigh injury.

Bradley's agent Ron Waxman has been quoted saying Bradley picked up the knock during Tuesday's practice and will keep the American out of action for two weeks.

Klinsmann has his work cut out for him
The US national team is set to open camp next week for important qualifiers and already there are injury concerns.

Yesterday YA received independent confirmation that Tijuana left back Edgar Castillo suffered a foot injury that is expected to keep him out for a few weeks. While he might be ready for the September 11 qualifier against Jamaica in Columbus, his status remains doubtful.

Right now there are a lot of regular players who may not be in their club's starting lineup. So Klinsmann will have to weigh a lot of options in considering his team.

Sources have told YA that Gyau is currently in St. Pauli right now has the two teams are trying to work out a loan for the former US U-23 wingers.

Over the weekend Stoke City confirmed that they have agreed to personal terms for US international Maurice Edu and that the only two hurdles are a physical and a new UK work permit.
