American defender Parker Walsh has been added to the roster at Karlsruher SC.
The club was forced to look for a replacement for defender Sebastian Schiek, who has been sidelined for the season with a knee injury. Walsh has signed a contract which will keep him at KSC until the end of the season.
MLS has reportedly rejected Stoke City's bid to acquire FC Dallas winger Brek Shea.
Last week it was reported by many outlets that FC Dallas and Stoke had come to terms on an agreement on a transfer for Shea pending a physical. MLS, however, has the final say in transfers of league players and has reportedly rejected the deal in seeking a higher price.
A lot of Youth national team players have pro clubs now
The 2013 MLS Super Draft took place Thursday, sending nine young men with US Youth National Team experience into the league.
Chivas USA, drafting second, chose Carlos Alvarez who has seen time with both the US and Mexican U-20 teams. His services were sought out quite publically by Chivas USA's new head coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola (aka El Chelis) after the coaching staff and ownership decided to move exclusively toward a team comprised of Spanish-speaking players.
Pelosi has been successful for Liverpool's U=19 team
US U20 midfielder Marc Pelosi played a full 90 Liverpool's U-19 team in an impressive 4-1 win over Inter Milan in the NexGen Series.
The game completed group play for Group 5 and Liverpool finished third place behind Italy's Inter Milan and Norway's Rosenborg but ahead of Germany's Borussia Dortmund. Pelosi was a regular for Liverpool who finished with three wins and three losses in group play.
Pfeffer scored a goal in his first game in Germany
US U-18 midfielder Zach Pfeffer is enjoying a strong start in year-long loan with Hoffenheim in Germany
Pfeffer, whose loan to Hoffenheim began last week on his 18th birthday, scored in his first game with the Germany club on Tuesday. In a U-19 friendly against Stuttgart Kickers, Pfeffer scored one of Hoffeheim's goals in a convincing 6-0 win.
US national team midfielder Stuart Holden made an impressive return to competitive action going 70 minutes for Bolton's reserve team today.
It was announced before the game by Bolton that Holden would start for the reserve team in a game against Oldham's reserves and numerous reports from those in attendance were that Holden looked both fit and sharp.
