YA has learned that USA U20 forward Juan Agudelo has not yet signed a contract with Colombian team Deprtivo Millonarios.

Deportivo Millonarios press officer, Gustavo Monje, told YA that Agudelo had been with the club in recent weeks and had played in preseason games but despite that, no deal has yet been reached.

Monje further went on and said that the talented 17 year old forward has not yet decided if he wants to stay in New York or return to Colombia to start his professional career. A decision could be made, however, in the upcoming weeks.

Agudelo has been developing with the New York Red Bulls Academy. Last fall he was a member of the US U17 team that played in the U17 World Cup in Nigeria. In December, 2009 Agudelo was selected by U20 head coach Thomas Rongen to participate in the first U20 camp of the 2011 cycle.

He is currently with the US U20 team in Mexico where they will play in the 2010 Copa Chivas tournament. The prestigious youth tournament starts tomorrow and runs until the end of the month.
