Brad Guzan's strong year for Aston Villa did not go unnoticed, as the American goalkeeper took home two big end of season awards.
Guzan, 28, took home both the Players' and the Supporters' Player of the Year accolades at the Birmingham club's end-of-season awards dinner.
He beat out teammate Andreas Weimann with the fans by winning six man-of-the-match awards while finishing runner-up in the polls five times.
The former Chivas USA man had a breakout season with Villa, gaining the starting job in the third game of the year. From there he never looked back, playing in every premier league game since and keeping five clean sheets along the way.
Guzan will look to continue his stellar play in the team's last two games of the year. After spending much time hovering around the relegation zone Aston Villa seem relatively safe bets to remain in the Premier League next season, currently sitting in 13th place.
