BRIAN SCIARETTA - Tuesday, January 8, 2013
YA has independently confirmed that US national team midfielder Mix Diskerud is on the verge of signing a new deal with Rosenbork BK.

Reports over night from Norwegian website Adressa said that a deal with the Norwegian-born American could be reached this week. Today, an independent source has confirmed to YA that the Norwegian reports are accurate.

Diskerud joined Rosenbord last summer from financially plagued Stabaek who previously sent him on loan to Gent in Belgium. Last season he helped Rosenborg to a second place finish in the Tippeligaen.

Diskerud is currently with the US national team in Los Angeles as they prepare to face Canada on January 29 in Houston, Texas.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
