US national team midfielder Jose Torres has played his last game for Pachuca and will now suit up for Tigres.

Pachuca announced the transfer on Friday on their official website.

Torres, 25, has played his entire career with Pachuca where he came up through the club's youth system. He rose to prominence in 2008 where he established himself with the club's first team. It was also that year where he broke into the US national team during World Cup qualifying.

Born in Longview, Texas, Torres grew into being a mainstay for Pachuca and he played with the club during the 2008 Club World Cup.

As a veteran of the 2010 World Cup, Torres has been a regular under US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann but he has struggled to earn callups in recent months.

The German regular season is finished, however a pair of American players still have work to do in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
