US U-20 winger Tyrone McCargo received a promotion this spring at his club FC Nurnberg.

McCargo, 18, was with FC Nurnberg's U-19 last season where he showed promise despite dealing with a few injuries that limited his playing time. He missed a significant portion of the second half of the season because of a shoulder injury.

Despite that, McCargo has been promoted to FC Nurnberg's U-23 team and has already begun training with his new team. Nurnberg's U-23 team plays in the Regionalliga so McCargo will now play in the fourth tier of German soccer.

McCargo was born in Germany but holds an American citizenship through his father who served in the US military. He also holds Italian and Greek citizenship through his mother. He made his US debut in November when he was called up to a combined US U-20 and U-23 camp in Germany.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
