BEDOYA OBTAINS UK WORK PERMIT
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
ANDREW VORCE - Sunday, August 14, 2011
United States international midfielder Alejandro Bedoya is one step closer to securing a move to Scottish Premier League Champions Rangers after securing his work permit on Friday morning.

Last month, Bedoya signed a contract with Rangers that would go into effect this January. The contract was contingent on the New Jersey native obtaining a British work permit which he has now done.

Since Bedoya did not have the required number of USMNT caps, he had to go through an appeals process for the work permit.

Ally McCoist confirmed that the Orebro man who has made 63 appearances has received his UK work permit, freeing up any issues to see the player moving to Ibrox.

Bedoya has scored nine goals for Orebro in his time at the club, and will be looking to play a part in Rangers Europa League campaign should the move be sealed in the coming days.
