Reports out of Scotland have indicated that Scottish Premier League champions Rangers have sent a transfer bid for USMNT midfielder Alejandro Bedoya and that the bid has been rejected by Orebro.

Rangers coach Ally McCoist told The Daily Record that the bid was rejected by Bedoya's Allsvenskan club.

Alejandro Bedoya's agent, Patrick Mork, declined to comment on the matter to YA.

Should the bid have been accepted, Bedoya would still have had to go through an appeals process to obtain his British work permit as he lacks an EU passport and the required number of international caps.

Bedoya, 24, is currently enjoying a strong season with Orebro with four goals in 11 appearances for the club that is currently in 11th place in the Allsvenskan. He has spent his entire professional career with Orebro and has nine goals in 62 league games.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
