JAMIE HILL - Wednesday, February 2, 2011
Nottingham Forest forward Robbie Findley has suffered a thigh injury in training, according to the club website.

Findley will await the results of a scan later this week to determine the severity of the injury.

The club would not comment directly to YA regarding the expected timing of his return.

The 25-year-old had finally completed the paperwork necessary to complete his transfer just days ago.

The former Real Salt Lake striker initially signed with the Championship club on a free transfer in late December.

There must be some sort of Yankee Curse at Forest... Findley injured before the ink on his transfer papers has even dried.... Years earlier, Benny Olsen goes to Forest and looks like a world-class holding mid..........for about 15 matches anyway, before blowing out his ankle, missing most of the next two seasons, and never quite returning to the form he displayed in his very brief stay at City Ground.....

Hopefully the injury is not nearly as severe as Olsen's was, but even at 100%, Findley is going to have a very tough time cracking the starting line up with the recent play of Adebola and McGoldrick (Adebola looked as good against West Ham in last week's FA Cup tie as he did years ago when he first signed on at Birmingham City)...

Hopefully this is not yet another case of a USMNT player going to Europe only to be loaned out from one bench to another......
