CHAD WINGER - Friday, December 31, 2010
Aston Villa backup Brad Guzan will head east for the next month as the Tigers of Hull City have reached a deal with the Villans.

Guzan, 26, will replace injured Vito Mannone for the Championship team, as the Italian has returned to Arsenal with a thigh problem.

The American, who moved to Villa Park in July 2008, had previously stated interest in a loan deal to get first-team minutes, will now move to KC Stadium, last year's home for Jozy Altidore.

Guzan, despite several FA and League Cup matches for Aston Villa, has only appeared in a single Premiership match, replacing Brad Friedel who was sent off in the 64th minute of a March 2009 contest against Liverpool.

Stay on the warpath Brad, focused, and sharpening all your skills.

Your time on the bigger stages is rapidly approaching.

A good move on Hull's part. They now have the best goalie in the Championship league to finish off their season. Also, a great move for Guzan. A crappy team is a great place for a goalie to show what he can do. I am guessing this is Friedel's last season with AstonV. A good warm-up this year for Brad then take the starting spot at the Villains next year.

A very underrated keeper in the prem. Hopefully this jumpstarts his career. He has been great for the US

Good luck Brad! What better way to get sharp than to help a team in 15th in the Championship ... and constantly get pummelled? The hard work will be well worth it in the long run. Good luck, and stay positive!

If that's what it takes to get on the field, well hell, kid, go for it. I should suggest the same for Da Marcus Beasley as well.

15th in the Championship is a perfect way to get down to playing business. Tampa wishes you all the best in getting minutes....go for it big dog....and treat Hull with more respect as they have come for you.
