YA has learned that US U20 forward Omar Salgado will be heading to England to train with Premier League team Everton from September 27 until October 8.
Salgado, 17, has signed a Generation Adidas contract with MLS where he will enter into the 2011 SuperDraft in January.
The 6'4 striker expected to be one of the top picks in the draft.
Salgado made headlines over the summer when he left his previous club, Chivas de Guadalajara, to join the US U20 national team.
The Mexican club has a long standing policy of only employing players eligible and willing to play for the Mexican national team.
Being unable to play for both Chivas and the US U20 national team, Salgado chose the US U20 team where he has been a regular contributor including scoring the game winning goal against China in the team's opening game in the Milk Cup.
Salgado will be the second U20 star to train with Everton recently. University of Maryland and U20's goalkeeper Zac MacMath trained with the club prior the start of the NCAA season.
