He started playing soccer when he was 3. When he was 8 he joined a select club team, with Club Classic, which eventually would change clubs to Texas Football Club and then to Liverpool FC International Academy America over the years. Keaton played for his longtime coach, Armando Pelaez (former pro and Venezuelan national team player) for the rest of his youth career, 10 years.
Parks was also a part of the Olympic Development Program and the state and regional level and was called multiple times to the National team pool training in Dallas Texas.
Parks went to Frisco Liberty High School and played Varsity soccer there for 4 years. They made it to the Regional finals in his junior year and he made the Texas All-State team. Keaton was offered and accepted a scholarship to play collegiate soccer at Southern Methodist University, SMU, NCAA Division 1.
The summers after his sophomore and junior years his club coach brought him to Portugal for a month and he trained with different U19 teams, such as Feirense, Braga, Guimaraes, Gil Vicente, Benfica, and Sporting Lisbon. Parks graduated after the first semester of his senior year and went to Portugal to train with Varzim SC (a second division team in Portugal) for a few months. He went home after that and joined the Liverpool Warriors, an NPSL team in Dallas. The Liverpool team went to Portugal that summer to play friendlies and compete in a tournament hosted by Varzim SC.
After that tournament, he turned down his scholarship to SMU and signed his first professional contract with Varzim SC, with the help of his club coach Armando Pelaez and his agent Henrique Sousa.
The first year at Varzim SC he played games with Varzim B and Varzim U19s while also training with the Varzim first team. He had 7 goals and 11 assists with the U19s that year. Now, for his second year at Varzim, he is playing with the first team. During the preseason he had multiple appearances and scored a game-winner against Portimonense, another second division team. Keaton made his league debut on Sept 4th, 2016 against Aves.
In July 2017, Parks signed with Benfica, joining their reserve team which plays in the second division.
It was announced in January 2019 that Parks would go on loan to New York City FC during the MLS season from Benfica.
Parks received an invite to the US Under-20 national team as he attended a training camp in London in April 2017.
