Club Career

After spending time at the IMG Academy, Rubin would sign his first professional contract with Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht in March 2014. He would go on to make his debut with the team in August 2014 in their 2-1 win over Willem II.

Injuries would begin to hamper his development and he would find it hard to crack the starting line-up on his return.

In the 2016-2017 season, Rubin would once again begin to find his way into the starting line-up for Utrecht, but could not find his goalscoring touch. This led to a demotion to Utrecht II in the Eerste Divisie.

On January 31, 2017, it was reported that Rubin moved to Danish Superliga team Silkeborg IF. He would later be released by the team at the end of the season.

In August 2017, Rubio signed a contract with Norwegian team Stabaek.

International Career

The son of a Mexican father and a Guatemalan mother, Rubin had the option of playing for Mexico, Guatemala or the United States.

He has so far played for the US U-17, U-20 and U-23 teams. He would earn his first cap for the senior team in November 2014 in a 2-1 loss to Colombia.

Taylor Booth, Malik Tillman, and Chris Richards capped off their season with Bayern Munich II as champions.
