Club Career
Packwood left the US to join Birmingham City's academy in his early teens. He steadily progressed through the club's system and was rewarded with his first professional contract in 2011. Late in the 2011-12 season, he made the first team bench for the first team during a cup match against Chelsea.
Packwood spent much of his youth career as a defensive midfielder, but at 6'3", his future could lie in defense.
Packwood was given a first team number for the 2012-13 season and made his pro debut in Birmingham's League Cup match against Barnet.
Packwood broke his left fibia and tibula after landing awkwardly during an FA Cup match in January 2013.
International Career
Packwood was a part of the USA's U-17 World Cup team in 2009. He was ruled out of the U-20 World Cup after breaking his leg in two places.
