Club Career

Patrick Hopkins spent four years playing college soccer at DePaul University from 2006 to 2009.

Following his NCAA career, the Illinois native found an opportunity in Australia with his college teammate Steffen Vroom, playing for Brisbane Premier League club Wolves FC. The pair helped lead the club to the league title in 2011. Hopkins finished in a tie for third place on the scoring charts as a defender.

After achieving success in Australia's lower divisions, Vroom and Hopkins both moved to Europe, signing two year contracts with Ljungskile SK after a trial.

The big defender is expected to contribute to the Swedish second tier club immediately.

International Career

Hopkins has not appeared internationally for the United States.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
