Club Career

A successful youth player at Cal Odyssey, Bijev first captured attention when he signed with Liverpool after a successful trial in August 2011.

Bijev was immediately loaned to Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he began to play with the reserve team. In April 2012, he made his first team debut in a 2.Bundesliga match.

Bijev returned to Liverpool following the season, but was quickly sent out on loan again, this time to IK Start of Norway. The player is currently ineligible for a UK work permit; those with Bulgarian passports are slated to received freedom of movement rights in the UK in 2014.

International Career

Bijev has been involved with the US U-20 team, but was not named to the team for qualifying.
