Club Career

During his college career, Schuler was a top NCAA forward at North Carolina. He missed the 2010 season due to injury, but returned in 2011 and earned individual accolades and a national championship as a redshirt junior.

Schuler was a major Generation Adidas target for the 2012 draft, but he chose to spurn MLS' offer and sign abroad with Hammarby. The forward will team up with Hammarby's manager, Gregg Berhalter, who is both a former US international and a former Tar Heel.

International Career

Schuler was a member of the 2007 U-17 World Cup team and was selected for the 2009 U-20 CONCACAF qualifying team.

DC United defender and one time US men's national team prospect Robbie Russell has called time on his playing career after 13 years.
