Jonathan Borrajo attended George Mason University, where he was a four-year starter from 2005-2008. In 2009, the Clifton, New Jersey native began his professional career in the USL Second Division with the Real Maryland Monarchs.
Borrajo stayed with the Monarchs for two seasons before departing in August 2010, when he signed with Hamarkameratene in Norway, popularly known as Ham-Kam. After suffering two consecutive relegations to the third tier, Ham-Kam sought to bounce right back to the Adeccoligaen.
Ham-Kam were successful and took home the Second Division, Group Four title. Borrajo stayed with Ham-Kam in 2011 in Norway's second tier and helped them to a respectable 6th place finish.
In 2012, Borrajo returned home and signed with the New York Red Bulls, but was a rarely used reserve.
Waived by New York, Borrajo returned to familiar ground in 2013, signing with Mj°ndalen.
Borrajo has not appeared for the US national team.
