Vidal grew up in the Dallas, Texas area hoping he would someday be able to play in his hometown for FC dallas. In 2007, Vidal, the son of Mexican parents, had his chance and trained with the club for several months. However then FC Dallas coach Colin Clark elected to not offer Vidal a contract so Vidal looked south of the border.
It was later that year that Vidal signed a contract with Indios of Ciudad Juarez from the Mexican Primera Division A. The young midfielder has bounced back and forth between Indios' reserve team and the senior team logging a total of 30 appearances.
Vidal played a central role in Indios' run to promotion in the 2008-09 season. He found the next year in the Primera to be more difficult and drifted in and out of a starting role as Indios' first season in the Mexico's top tier ended in relegation.
Vidal remained in the Primera division by going on loan with Pachuca. Despite working his way into the lineup, Vidal's loan expired after the Apertura season and he left Pachuca to join Club León of the Liga de Ascenso.
Vidal was a regular contributor in the 2011 Clausura, but he fell out of favor at León during the following season. León earned promotion to Mexico's top tier after the 2011-12 season, but Vidal moved on to another Liga de Ascenso club, Lobos BUAP.
Vidal is eligible for both Mexico and the United States. He has yet to appear for either team.
