BRANN NEARING CORRALES CAPTURE
EXTRA TIME
Monday, January 8, 2007
According to his agent, Ham-Kam left-sider Ramiro Corrales is on the verge of completing a move to UEFA Cup entrants Brann SK.

The 29-year old, who can operate at left back or out of midfield, expects to have the deal signed and sealed shortly.

"We are in final negotiations with Brann," Patrick McCabe told YA. "We've agreed on terms for the transfer. He will be joining the team (for preseason camp) on Grand Canary Island on Saturday."

Though the lure of European football was strong for Corrales, McCabe says the team had the full package for a destination away from relegated Ham-Kam.

"Brann are an ambitious club, with a great stadium and great fans," he offered. "They are one of the powerhouses of Norwegian football."

Until last week, it appeared that IK Start were the front runners for Corrales, who also entertained interest from Belgium and Spain.
