Having already missed four games this year, Manchester City midfielder Claudio Reyna has suffered another setback and could miss up to eight weeks after being diagnosed with a broken bone in his foot.

Reyna was originally injured in a 1-0 loss to Arsenal in October, suffering a "jarred knee and ankle", but came back big with City four weeks later when they romped over Charlton Athletic 5-2.

Reyna continued to start, including 65 minutes in a shootout loss to Wigan Athletic on Boxing Day.

The injury finally took its toll this week and he had a CT scan this week which revealed the fracture.

Though the US captain is scheduled for surgery at the end of this week, the procedure isn't deemed major and Reyna could be up and training again in as little as three weeks.
