According to a Bundesliga source, US Under-17 strike ace Preston Zimmerman may soon be joining up with Benny Feilhaber at Hamburg.

Reportedly, the Washington native impressed during a trial that ended on November 26th and HSV youth development director Stephan Hildebrandt is in Florida for the ongoing Nike Friendlies.

Zimmerman has 15 goals and 11 assists in 37 U17 caps, including a goal and an assist in their knockout run at the 2005 U17 World Cup.

The 17-year old scored twice in the team's Thursday win over Nike Friendlies opponent Dallas Texans, and also has one goal in two U20 appearances.

Thus far unable to confirm the report, YA will continue to monitor the situation.
